Synopsis

Enemies to Lovers Fated Mates werewolf-romance High Heat 18+ Shadow Alpha Ethnobotanist Heroine Olympic Peninsula Pack Warfare

Fleeing through the mist-shrouded temperate rainforests of Mount Olympus with the stolen rhizomes of the near-extinct Astralys nocturna moonflower, rogue ethnobotanist Dr. Maya Sorenson collapses into the territory of the feared Blackfang Pack. Captured by Alpha Kieran Vance—the colossal, battle-scarred Shadow Sovereign whose family was murdered by a corrupt corporate syndicate—Maya is forced into an uneasy alliance to cure a lethal epidemic of synthetic necrotic silver-rot. Between geothermal hot springs and obsidian war rooms, scientific defiance sparks into incandescent primal passion as an unbreakable celestial mating bond awakens beneath the blood moon. Together, Healer and Sovereign dismantle a tyrannical empire, forging an invincible dynasty of light and healing.

Chapter 1

Fugitive in the Mist

The midnight mist hung thick and impenetrable over the primordial canopy of the Olympic Peninsula, smothering the ancient Sitka spruces in cold, damp silence.

Crashing through the dense underbrush of sword ferns and decaying cedar logs, Dr. Maya Sorenson fought for every ragged breath. Her heavy leather hiking boots slipped against the slick river stones, sending a spray of dark peat into the frigid air. The freezing Pacific rain lashed against her face, plastering soaked strands of honey-chestnut hair across her cheeks and stinging her eyes, but she did not dare slow down.

Behind her, echoing through the shadowed cathedral of thousand-year-old trees, came the baying of hunting hounds—deep, vicious, and relentless.

They were not ordinary hounds. They were blood-bred tracking mastiffs belonging to the Silverpine Syndicate, guided by werewolf enforcers armed with night-vision scopes and hollow-point cartridges tipped in pulverized silver.

Maya clutched the water-resistant canvas satchel strapped tightly across her chest. Inside that satchel, cradled within a temperature-controlled insulated canister, lay the reason three packs across the Cascade Range were hunting her like an escaped animal: five living rhizomes of *Astralys nocturna*, the legendary lunar moonflower. For centuries, shifters had considered the silver-rot—a necrotic blood poison caused by wolfsbane-alloyed silver—an incurable death sentence that reduced proud warriors to agonizing madness. But through six years of clandestine ethnobotanical research and ancestral lunar alchemy, Maya had succeeded where pack elders and medical syndicates had failed.

She had synthesized the cure.
