On Thursday morning, Alessandro and Isabella traveled into Brooklyn in an armored convoy to inspect the Romano shipping terminals along the Red Hook waterfront. As their three-vehicle motorcade entered the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, the overhead fluorescent lights suddenly flickered and died, plunging the subterranean tube into pitch-black darkness.
